Puranchandra Vidyaniketan is a renowned name in the arena of public schooling in the city of Kanpur,the Industrial capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh in India.The school is an initiative of Jagran Education Foundation, a registered society which was established in the sacred memory of late Shri Puran Chandra Gupta, the founder of Dainik Jagran, which is the world’s largest read daily newspaper.Inaugurated by Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Ex-Prime Minister of India on 26 March 1991, Puranchandra Vidyaniketan, popularly known as PCVN was established in the memory of pioneer of Hindi journalism, Late Sh. Puran Chandra Gupta ji under the inspiration of Late Shri Swami Ram to provide best possible education, synthesizing the Indian culture, heritage and traditions with modern education technology. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
